Dyslexia

When Sarabeth was seven, she spent a day at work with Chet as part of the national "Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work" event. Chet is a buyer at Gordon Food Service, so he spends his work days buying food, specifically "center of the plate," or main dish items, such as beef, poultry, pork, seafood, and other entrees. Around lunchtime, I called to check on Sarabeth. She was so excited to be a work with Daddy, and she happily told me all that she had been doing. Then she asked: "Mommy, did you know Daddy buys lion meat?" Very interesting... I had never heard Chet talk about buying meat from any wild animals. Hmm. Maybe this was a new item. Later I asked Chet if he bought lion meat. "No," he laughed, "but I buy several types of loin."
