One night when I was rocking two-year-old Christopher to sleep, I asked him, "Do you love Mommy?" He was sucking on his fingers, so he just nodded in response. "Do you love Daddy?" I asked. He nodded. "Do you love Sarabeth?" He nodded. "Do you love Jesus?" He nodded. A few seconds later, he took his fingers out of his mouth and said, "Me love Nana, too."

What's that word again?
Christopher has a long history of getting words mixed up. I love it!
The latest....
"Mommy, if you let me watch an episode of Power Rangers this morning, I promise I will work digitally in school for the rest of the day."
"What is the next Bible verse we will be rememborizing?"
"The salvation marks in the sentence show that a person is speaking."

A Little Sadness...
On Sarabeth's 7th birthday, she was talking with Nana (my mother) and me about "Baby Luke," one of her cousins in Tennessee. "You know," I suggested, "Luke isn't really a baby anymore." But Sarabeth insisted, "yes, he is!" Then Nana pointed out: "He's almost three years old now, honey."
Sarabeth sighed wistfully: "Oh, I just hate to see that boy grow up."

Semantics
Christopher: "Sarabeth kicked me!"
Sarabeth: "I did not!"
Christopher: "You did, too!"
Daddy: "Sarabeth, did you kick Christopher?"
Sarabeth: "No."
Daddy: "Well, what did you do to him?"
Sarabeth: "I nudged him."

I Can't Hear You!
"Mommy!" Sarabeth screams at the top of her voice. "I'm telling Christopher something important, something logical, something he needs to know, and he keeps going 'blah, blah, blah, blah, blah'!"
Welcome to my life, honey....

They Grow So Fast!
Cannot believe how big Sarabeth's "baby" has gotten! Likewise, I can't believe how grown up my baby has become. She's nine going on nineteen, for sure. Love both these girls!
